Contemporary Hungarian textile design is undergoing an exciting transformation, in which traditional techniques are regaining meaning and experimental, innovative solutions are given space. SIKK, or Flat-Woven Innovative Kilim Collections, is one of the most important representatives of this change in perspective.
The collection traces how artisanal heritage meets contemporary design thinking from 2017 to the present. The traditions of flat weaving are not presented here as museum objects, but as timeless, functional and aesthetically valid home textiles.
