ALESSI La Stanza Dello Scirocco Sideboard

Designed by Marco Trimarchi. “La Stanza dello Scirocco” is a series of objects that fit into different rooms, such as the kitchen and the living room, born from the abstract and still atmosphere of a magical place: the room of the large Sicilian country houses where one is forced to seek refuge from the sweltering heat while waiting for the scirocco to die down. It is a windowless room in which one can do nothing but contemplate the wind that destroys everything underground outside. The end result is a collection of geometrically irregular objects, composed of small fragments of different sizes, intertwined in an unstable equilibrium.
